Founded in 1997, the global alliance includes 21 renowned airlines serving 916 destinations in almost 160 countries and offering access to 805 airport lounges around the world. With more than 17,000 daily flights operated (one aircraft taking off every five seconds), there are plenty of alternatives to choose from. Youngest member of Star Alliance is EgyptAir (since July 2008).
